All our parties are designed to be fun, however our main priority is safety and commitment to both our clients and our staff. To ensure your party goes as smooth as it can be, please read carefully our terms and conditions which are a binding agreement between Powered Up Parties and the client. By you paying the required booking fee it means that you have read and agreed to all the terms and conditions.
Payment
1) Contract:
This contract must be agreed within 24 hours of being received in order to maintain event date. If a booking fee is not received within 24 hours, the event date will be released to the next interested client. Powered Up Parties work on a first come first served basis.
2) Payment:
For booking fee, we accept Paypal and bank transfer. We can only accept cash at the end of the event if it has been authorised and agreed to by Powered Up Parties.
3) Booking Fee:
A non-refundable booking fee (which acts as a deposit) covers administrations costs when reserving a specific time and date. The booking fee must be paid with 24 hours of the booking information being sent. If the booking fee is not received within 24 hours, the time slot will be given to the next interested booking, unless otherwise discussed with Powered Up Parties.
Booking fee’s are broken down into 3 tiers:
30 minute appearance - £20
1 hour party - £20
2 hour party - £30
4) Balance:
Client agrees to pay the balance in cash or PayPal/bank transfer 24 hours before the party or event. We do not accept cheque.
1. Character integrity - The performer stays in full character throughout the appearance/party so we ask that all parents are responsible for their children's behaviour and safety.
2. Safety of our performers - Powered Up Parties will not tolerate any inappropriate behaviour. If at any time there is a situation where the performer(s) feels unsafe, harassed, in a hostile or hazardous environment or has inappropriate comments are made, they will address the issue with the parent/guardian or host. If the issue is not resolved, the performer(s) has the right to refuse to perform services and will leave with immediate effect. The party fees paid will be non-refundable and will act as compensation to the company.
3. Additional time - When booking a 30 minute package please be aware that it is the clients responsibility to let the performer know when the 30 minute time frame is over. Powered Up Parties costumes and character integrity means that the performers won’t carry watches or phones to check the time. It’s advised that all clients must be responsible for letting the performer know when the 30 minute visit has finished or have a clock that is visible for the performer (especially during home visits). If a visit does last longer than 30 minutes and the client has not let the performer know, a member of the admin team will contact you after the visit to inform you of the additional charges that will apply to cover the extra time the performer was at the visit for. Our performers will have other visits to go to after so it is highly important that time keeping is managed well to avoid further delays to their day.
The only way this will not apply is if the performer chooses to stay longer at the visit (which they will let you know, once the visit is over).
4. Location - If you have booked a 2 hour package with us, we do request that the venue has sufficient space for our equipment as well as plug sockets which are accessible.
5. Changing facilities; Applies to 2 hour parties only - Powered Up parties request that there is a room which our performer(s) can get changed in (this does not include any toilets e.g. disabled toilets.) Our performers do arrive out of costume to set up/pack down so please be aware of this.
6. Photo approval - It is the parents responsibility to ensure that all children at the party can have their photograph taken with our performers. Please inform us if any children attending the party are not to be used in any of our promotional material e.g. facebook, website, flyers etc. Powered Up Parties will not take any pictures on their personal phones unless agreed before hand with the client.
7. Damage - We understand that accidents happen, however, the client may be held responsible for excessive damage sustained to costumes and property of Powered Up Parties during the event. The cost to replace/repair damaged/broken costumes or materials will be billed to the client.
8. Parking spaces - When booking a 30 minute appearance, a car parking space must be available for our performer a suitable distance away from the location of booking. We would hate to spoil any illusion for the children seeing the performer arriving/leaving in their vehicle.
2 hour bookings - please make sure there is a suitable car parking space for equipment to be loaded and unloaded from. Powered Up Parties has the right to refuse service if there is no suitable parking in close proximity to the main entrance of the venue. If Powered Up Parties have to park in public car park which requires payment, this payment will then be billed to the client.
9. Bouncy castles - please DO NOT book/have any inflatables present during the the 1 hour or 2 hour party packages. Powered Up Parties has the right to refuse to perform services if the client has not informed or discussed with Powered Up Parties before the event/party.
We find that it huge distraction for the children, and we want you to get the full entertainment experience with ourselves. Please be mindful of having a bouncy castles present during our 30 minute .As much as we love to be interactive and join the children on the castle some of our characters cannot access bouncy castles due to restricting costumes.
10. Changes - If there are any changes or anything in particular you would like our performers to do at your party please inform us prior to your booking. We will always try and accommodate any suggestions in games, party dances etc to make it that bit more special. We will be in touch with you the week of your booking if there are any changes to your booking please let us know as soon as possible. If their is any changes in details to your original booking, we would have to check availability (eg if you are wanting to change time or location) we cannot guarantee that we can change details if there is any bookings during the day.
11. Allergies - If you have booked a face painter/glitter tattooist onto your package please be aware that it is the clients responsibility to ensure that no child has any allergies towards any products we may use. The client understands that Powered Up Parties is not responsible for any injuries or allergic reactions that occur at your event. Please be aware that due to health and safety Powered Up Parties are unable to provide glitter tattoos for anyone under the age of 3 even with the parent/guardians consent.
12. Contact - When booking any appearance package please be aware that our performers will arrive 5 minutes prior to any booking and will call the contact number provided. If the performer is running late they will call and let you know well in advance. Please keep your phone on you when you know our performer is due. Please note that the 30 minute slot will start at the time booked, and our performers will not enter any visit until they have spoken to you via phone call or message first. It will be up to the performers discretion wether the visit can be extended due to delays for first contact.
13. Cancellation or rescheduling - In the case of severe weather or unforeseen circumstance, illnesses or COVID 19 related. Powered Up Parties reserves the right to reschedule your party. If a client chooses to cancel a party due to weather or unforeseen circumstances or illness, the client may reschedule the event for a date up to a month from the original event date based on availability. An event can only be rescheduled once. Booking fee’s are non-refundable.
If a booking is cancelled 48 hours prior, full payment will still be required unless the client has come to a suitable agreement with Powered Up Parties.
14. DBS and public liability - Performers and host will NOT be alone with the children. Although all our staff are DBS checked please ensure that the appropriate number of adults are present at the party, this is for safeguarding reasons. Powered Up Parties has the right to refuse service if there is not a sufficient amount of adults there, please do not allow parents to drop their children off and leave.
15. Other companies - Powered Up Parties do not work along side any other companies unless this has been approved beforehand. Once we arrive at the venue and find another company there we are in our rights to leave with full payment as this is stated on your t&cs.

Once we have received the booking fee from the client Powered Up Parties will then send a confirmation email with the clients details and remaining balances.
